Life in General

February 12th, 2009

It’s been awhile, once more, since I’ve updated my little blog here. It’s not that I’m too busy. On the contrary, I’ve a lot of free time on my hands. But when you’re not only obsessed with a certain drawing aspect, in this case dolling, plus, you have a 5 year old to raise, a farm to maintain, health to get back and a marriage to work on, your priorities tend to take a different direction. In any case, I’m doing very well.

As I said, everything is going great. My daughter is having a fantastic time growing up on a farm. She has her own animals to take care of; her donkey, her pig, her hamster, her cat, her dog, her goat and soon to be helping Mommie take care of the family Giraffe. She loves school and is beyond the teacher’s expectations of her age group.

Clayton is doing just as fantastic. I’ll just say we have a wonderful life together now with no worries but that of the normal. He gets to see his other daughter twice a month now. The only problem therein lies is the gas cost it takes to drive 3 hours away to pick her up and take her back.

I’m loveing my new puppy. She’s a miniature Schanuzer whom I’ve named Cupcake. She’s solid white and so cute! Technically she is still in Kentucky but very soon she’ll be down here being spoiled like the little princess she is. :D

Short post here as I’ve nothing else really to report. I mean, I’ve a ton of details about the going on’s here… But I’ll get to that at another time. Peace!

Introductions

November 24th, 2008

I'm in the process of setting up a few pages for the members of my immediate family.  I felt it was only right they have a feature upon my site since it is because of them I get up every morning and keep trying. :)   In the meantime, I'll go ahead and write about them here, introduce them to you and show their really pretty faces. :P

My luverly hubby

This is my husband, Clayton.  He's a city boy, Houston to be more precise.  He's 4 years older then me, loves all thing electronic and has an ego the size of my home state.  Ok, that's an over statement, lol.  It's cool and everything, he's earned the right to be proud of himself with his knowledge in the computer field, among other electronics.  I love him dearly…

My beautiful daughter

Ravyn was born at 9 pounds and 13 ounces.  You wouldn't know that today.  She's incredibly small, is 5 years old and still wears size 3T.  She's blond, which I assume must come from my mother's side.  My mom was a dirty dishwater blond growing up and it looks as though Ravyn will be too.  She has her daddy's eyes though with those incredibly long eyelashes of his that I am so jealous of.  She's a know it all as well.  Gets that from her daddy too… >>

NuDawn, the 8th wonder!
NuDawn, or Dawn/Dawnie as we call her, was the first foal to be officialy born on our property here in Texas.  She's about 17 hands tall, her momma was a deep bay with a stubborn disposition and her daddy was a splashy, flashy chesnut paint with a head full of air.  Thus, Dawn was born.  She's stubborn, intelligent,(get's that from her momma), loves attention, and would rather munch the grass with you at her feet then take off down the pasture with a saddle on her back.  She will though if I ask her too but she'll be quick to tell me she doesn't feel like it and I should realize that she's just doing it as a favor for me and I'll owe her later, lol.  I love her, mule head and all.

The purdy(fat) Momma-Kitty

Momma-Kitty, who we originally named Rembrandt/Remy, came to us in July of 2006, 2 days after my mother's near fatal car accident.  My husband knew I was torn up about not being immediatly at my mom's side and so he brought me this tiny little kitten home to help cheer me up.  She did too.  Momma-kitty, as we call her now, is an incredibly sweet cat.  SHe loves attention and follows me around like a shado.  She's made it obvious that she belongs to me and I to her.  Her name 'Momma-Kitty' came from my daughter when Momma had her first and only little in May of 2007.  5 kittens, all born healthy and strong and all 5 found very good homes.  In fact, Melissa is one of the people whom gave a fantabulous home to one of Momma-Kitties kittens.  Cody is huge these days and quite adorable I must say. :P

And that's my family.  We have a new addition to add but I haven't uploaded the photos yet so I'll get to them shortly.  But today we received our newest family member, Eduardo, the tiny Donkey.  He's the type of donkey that Mary rode into Bethlehem before giving birth to Jesus Christ.  He's so very cute, only 7 months old.  I took pictures of him so at some point I'll upload those and post them too.

And there you have it, my immediate, rag-tag family.  But let's not forget the million fish we have!  No, no picys of them, they won't sit still long enough for me to take one!  Ciao!
